Study agronomy daily and planting economic plants as much as possible to get -rich-quick

村莊容得下我奔小康的夢想嗎
Would the village accommodate my fairly well-off dream?

我跟石頭一樣咬緊貧窮的牙關
I set my impoverished teeth as stone

和妻子在石頭間挖掘美好幸福的陽光
Mining the beautiful sunshine with my wife amongst the stones

我們把未來的小樓房都設計好了
Our small building for the future is well designed

需要有明亮的窗戶來盛裝東方斜射的光明
Having bright windows to contain eastern oblique light

這樣母親就能感受到春天的溫暖
So that my mom can feel the warmth of spring

僵硬的母親像一只蜷縮的繭
Mom lying like a curled up cocoon

她病床對面空著父親躺過的床
Opposite to an empty bed of my father ever

母親像被燒過的錫紙眼角掛著凝重的眼霜
Like a burnt tinfoil hung with solemn eye-cream in her canthus

我知道您病得不輕啊誰又能拯救呢
I know you are very ill, while who can save you?

呵我親愛的母親您迷離的目光有如刀槍
Oh, my dear Mom, your blurred eyes like a sword

幾年過去了 我一直沒有修好我們的房子
Over the years I cannot build up our house

我們夫妻倆多少回蒙頭流淚
How many tears we wept hooded in bed

在您隔壁的子夜里我們聽到了您的哭泣
We heard you cry in the midnight on your next door

我們不敢注視您的眼睛啊
We dare not look into your eyes

因您的病不可救藥 神明也束手無策
Because of your illness is far beyond remedy,
even god can do nothing

來看望您的人都用善意的謊言祝福您早日康復
People come to see you with well-meaning crammer wishing you a speedy recovery

我卻希望您早一天把眼睛閉上
I hope you close your eyes even one day earlier

閉上您的眼睛就等于打開了無垠的藍天
Close your eyes is equal to open the boundless blue sky

Please close your eyes, Mom

閉上您的眼睛我和妻子就可以用奶嘴哺育您的來生
Close your eyes so my wife and I can use the nipple feeding your eternity
